Welcome to Hummingbees Day Nursery!
Humming Bees Day Nursery is Alderney’s first and only Day Nursery. We welcomed our first children to our airy, purpose designed rooms in March 2022.
We cater for children aged from just 3 months old right up to 5 years in our Nursery and Preschool provision. We will also be expanding into an afterschool club and holiday club for older kids.
All our staff are enthusiastic, experienced childcarers – the majority of our staff hold educational qualifications at Level 3 or above, with those unqualified studying towards qualified status. We are a happy, friendly Nursery and Preschool and are proud of the service and care that we provide.

Our Facilities
We have four large dedicated indoor spaces for our children to learn and grow, and are working hard at developing a large outdoor space.
Each room is equipped with its own age related equipment and resources to ensure the environment your child plays in meets all their needs. We believe strongly in working with parents and carers of all the children who attend our nursery and preschool and welcome all your comments and suggestions.
Each room has a fun, age-appropriate theme.
Our baby room (3 months to walking) is Bees, Birds, Bugs and Butterflies.
Our toddler room (walking to 2.5 years) is forest themed, adorned with dozens of monkeys!
Our preschool room (2.5 years – 5 years) is the Ocean Room – completed with a huge custom pirate ship, created by visiting artists from Jersey!
